Has anybody got a clue as to how much the MOTEC engine management system costs???

Motec is a fully customised engine management replacement system and not just a plug in ECU replacement.

 

You will need to find out what sensors you need to get as extra if any and what sensors will not be compatible with the Motec system

 

Basically have a word with a dealer check :

www.motec.com.

 

I think you will find it is not a viable solution for road cars !

I ALREADY HAVE THE AUTRONICS ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ON MY CAR BUT WAS WONDERING HOW MUCH THE MOTEC SYSTEM COSTS.

 

I phoned BR developments and he directed me to his website which is very helpful.The Motec stuff is outrageously priced and all in for the M800 PRO which is the equivalent of the Autronics works out at over £3,000 and that's not including labour on installation or setting the damned thing up which will probably need a whole tank of petrol too!!!

a friend of mine has a highly modified celica gt4, the one on the www.fensport.co.uk website, which as motec ecu.

 

they used to cost about 3k, they are now around the 1200 mark, with most of the options.

 

still need to find a decent dealer/tuner same as you do with every other chip.....

You're dead right....just checked it out and it looks like the total cost of the whole job including labour and all parts is over £3,100 maybe more if you need extra cables!!

I know what i'd do......Autronics!!!

Call Simon at Progress Engineering on 01622 687070 for information on Motec Management System.

 

Progress are a Motec dealer and I think for the 'full monty' you might be looking at c£3k.
