just picked my car up had 2 new dampers on the back,

i have been sold jap spec dampers for my uk car (not happy)

car feel's far to hard and just pulled into my road and the back just let go almost in to the kerb thank god no other car was there or i'd have no more ZED

I would say the fact you're compareing old worn shocks against brand new ones, it'll make a massive difference. Reall don't think you'd notice a difference between jap and UK rear shocks. My mechanic who has a UK Z put Jap rear shocks on and they were fine.

 

Drive carefully till you get used to it ;)

Most fit the Jap rear shocks (about 1/3 price of Uk shocks) as stock replacements. Damping level differences are neglidgable. If the ride is how you have explained, then sounds like a seperate issue....or related fitting issue.

Isnt the UK suspention auto adjustable? THought it got harder at higher speeds and there is the 1 hand brake click too.

yep the actuator goes to the top off the strut, IIRC its one click up on the handbrake and it puts it in to sport mode.
