Im sure rather than a nice sensible debate about the pros and cons of such a conversion we can save everyones times and resourt straight away to, backstabbing, petty name calling and threats of physical violence from people that dont have a hope in hell of carrying such threats out !

Seems like a bit of a waste of time TBH, probablt shags the balance a bit too.

 

Surely would have been cheaper and easier to get 500BHP from a VG30DETT, unless he replaced a shagged VG30DETT with the SR20, cos they are cheaper than the VG30, you could probably get the tuned SR20 for the price of a STD VG30.

 

The SR20 is a long stroke truck engine isn't it? Not designed for revving. Then I suppose the VG30DETT isn't designed to be revved either is it being a 6 pot and all. Much more torque though in the 6 pot.

 

 

I dunno about revving but my VG30DETT revs to 7300 quiet sweetly.

LOL don't be fooled my friend.

I thought mine (4 pot) loved 8000+, didn't love it when the oil stopped getting to the big ends and the centrifuge kept the oil in the webs away from the mains.

Up until then I thought 110 in 3rd was cool.

 

Took 2 fucking days to fix, can't be arsed with that anymore so got a new chip with 7.2K limit. Besides unless you are running BIG turbos it's no use anyway.

Only swapped the big ends, should have done the mains while I had the bottom to bits. frown.gif
