Three Cheers for Australia.......take time to read it, HOW

FANTASTIC

Three Cheers for Australia

Those Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on

Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals

in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

A day after a group of mainstream Muslim leaders pledged loyalty to

Australia at a special meeting with Prime Minister John Howard, he and

his ministers made it clear that extremists would face a crackdown.

Treasurer Peter Costello, seen as heir apparent to Howard, hinted that

some radical clerics could be asked to leave the country if they did not

accept that Australia was a secular state and its laws were made by

parliament. "If those are not your values, if you want a country which

has Sharia law or a theocratic state, then Australia is not for you," he

said on national television.

"I'd be saying to clerics who are teaching that there are two laws

governing people in Australia, one the Australian law and another the

Islamic law, that is false. If you can't agree with parliamentary law,

independent courts, democracy, and would prefer Sharia law and have the

opportunity to go to another country, which practices it, perhaps, then,

that's a better option," Costello said.

Asked whether he meant radical clerics would be forced to leave, he said

those with dual citizenship could possibly be asked to move to the other

country.

Education Minister Brendan Nelson later told reporters that Muslims who

did not want to accept local values should "clear off". "Basically,

people who don't want to be Australians, and they don't want to live by

Australian values and understand them, well then they can basically

clear off," he said. Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims

on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's

mosques.

AMERICA and Canada..... ARE YOU LISTENING?

Quote:

IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It I am tired

of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual

or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali, we have

experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.

However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the

"politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that

our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor

do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming

to Australia. However, there are a few things that those who have

recently come to

our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.

This idea of Australia being a multicultural community has served only

to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Australians, we

have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own

lifestyle. This culture has been developed over two centuries of

struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have

sought freedom.

We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese,

Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to

become part of our society, Learn the language!

Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right

wing, political push but a fact because Christian men and women, on

Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly

documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of

our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another

part of the world as your new home. Because God is part of our culture.

We will accept your beliefs and will not question why, all we ask is

that you accept ours and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.

If the Southern Cross offends you, or you don't like " A Fair Go", then

you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We

are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really

don't care how you did things where you came from. By all means keep

your culture but do not force it on others.

This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you

every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining,

whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs,

or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other

great Australian freedom, "THE RIGHT TO LEAVE".

If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here.

You asked to be here, so accept the country YOU accepted.

Pretty easy really, when you think about it. I figure if we all keep

passing this to our friends it will also, sooner or later get back to

the complainers, lets all try, please.

PLEASE PASS THIS ON. PERHAPS WE CAN CREATE A GROUND SWELL AND SEND OUR POLITICIANS THE MESSAGE THAT THE VAST MAJORITY OF US BELIEVE AS THE

AUSSIES DO.........

tony blair take note!

havent read anything that made that much sense in ages.

where the fook have we gone wrong?

Do you actually think any politician in this country is going to take notice? They will only do that if WE force them to...they are out of touch with public opinion because they are too intent on making this country multicultural. They will not listen when you say that forcing it on people will harbour resentment and cause issues. The more tell us that we must bend our countries rules to suit immigrants the more issues this causes. The more they allow the immigrants to have their own culture the more issues it causes...the more they let in the more risks we face to our national security...

Will they listen...will they fook!!!!!

I will be voting BNP...

Don't Labour rely to an extent on the votes of legal immigrants?

Interesting move from the Aussies though! I think if a boat of illegals gets near Australia, they sink it.

sounds like a good plan...we should fill a few boats then send them over...

Don't get me started!!!!!!!

im not even going to comment on this issue. im not being racist but everytime i watch crime watch and women get raped it is 90 percent of the time by an immigrant legal or illegal. the country is going downhill and has been for a number of years. no wonder so many brits are moving abroad

Remember Australia was a country founded by immigrants, Irish* and prisoners!

*No offence to the Irish - my mother's Irish, from Dublin.

Not quite the same as the situation we are in now. If you look at it that way every country in the world was formed by immigrants of some kind...

Having taken 18 months to get an Aussie visa and spent time over there, I can understand why they have a slogan "Love it or leave it"

They are a very welcoming country with open and honest people, but piss them off and you get it strait down the throat.

I believe that Britain can and does benifit from imigrants, as does alot of other countries, but the government needs to wise up and slow down or even stop the tide of people coming here with nothing to offer and everything to gain.

Just a final thought that took me at least two years to realise, If you were from a poor eastern european nation and had the oppertunity to come here and start a new life with everything we offer, where would you be now.

Been said a million times by a milion different people. No one will take note.

Wont make a sod of difference. Nice thought though.

True mate, true.

Common sence at last. Someone with the right idea. and it could be introduced in this country. and it should be. If the extremist were all living somewhere else then maybe we could settle down and stop being frightened to go to London for the day.

I sent this to a mate of mine who is a Muslim. Asif is 4th generation Iraqi or Irani immigrant. His great grandfather came here after the fall of the monarchy.

He has this to say.

It is a very well put statement and one which I can accept as an Englishman. It is not an argument over faith; it is an issue over fundamentalism. Fundamentally most immigrants here I meet wish to live separately from the Christian society and many wish to end Christianity.

I always ask them why they moved to a Christian country if they wish to live under a different set of laws and are not willing to embrace the culture. I am an English Muslim and I love my country as I am not anything other than English. My great grandfather was given asylum and this country accepted us and helped us. Although he always wished to return to his homeland, as did my grandfather both my father and myself along with my sons do not share this desire as we have always felt this is our country. It is abundantly clear however that the influx so quickly of so many immigrants into such small areas of the country is allowing many to continue as if they where living in a consulate and not in a new country and report only to thier elders. This is causing resentment which I feel on a daily basis as I and my family are now seen as a bunch of imigrants and not as fellow countrymen. However I do not agree we should be closing our borders as we all know some people realy need the help of this country, but as the Australian PM states, some basic understandings should be encouraged before anyone decides they wish to live here.

Immigrents is the wrong word.

you could say that the UK and was founded by immigrents, when infact it was invaders. As i see it people who go to another land wanting to change it for their benifit are classed as invaders not immigrents.

Lets not forget that most people who come here to live happily do it fit in to society. Its only a few who kick up the fuss, and most of the problems are caused by white British people who work in Parliment or Council and make up most of these laws.

i think those Aussie politicians need to run this country. i take my hat off to them.

again, the point is, there is NO racism in that statement at all.

and yes Craig David, the only people who will vote for blair are immigrants, scroungers, chavs, the PC brigade, and criminals. (apologies to anyone on here who does vote for blair, i just cant think of anything positive he's done for my country)

That Aussie statement is not anti immigrant, it's anti extremist!

There's a big difference.

My Grandfather was from Italy. Just outside Bardalina on the east side of Lake Garda and my Grandfather on my Dads side came from Dresden in Da Faterland.

God no wonder I'm mixed up.

Then me born and raised as a Yorkshire man. Das is vhy tha'cun bugger off testi regatsu.

WE are all immigrants, my grandfather on one side was German and his wife Jewish, the other side were Irish.......Who cares?

Its not where you are from its who you are and how you behave.

I think you all should stop and rethink how you use the word immigrant, soon it will end up as an insult just like paki. NOW PLEASE DONT BLOW YOUR TOPS, that to me is an abreviation and I hope it has not upset anyone.

The problem lies squarly at the feet of number 10

We are a Christian country and to denounce that is an act against the defender of the faith, HRH the queen, and should be treated as treason.

F**K this i'm off to OZ........
