take it u diddnt get fleeced 25/30/35 quid for the search for the part then?

No charge, had not been implemented by the dealer when I asked. But has now so it`s a case of Uk enquiries or find the part No. out before hand.

I got a bill from my car history saying N/STK shocks £98 each +VAT.

What the hell are they then if yours only cost £34

I think its a case of the dealers mark up on import bits, but they are exactly the same as what came off.

The awkward bit is the upper arm that the shock absorber and spring passes through gets in the way and a fair amount of juggling is required, once of it takes about 10 mins to compress the spring change the bbits over and reassemble, goes back on easier than coming off it helps to undo the bolt to the outer part of the upper arm and swing it up and push the lower wishbone down. all with a rose between your teeth!!

Good luck

Did the Konis on mine no probs what-so-ever! The fronts were slightly more difficult but still easy. What does help is if there is someone there to stand on the hub to push it down but it is certainly possible as a one man job wink.gif

Hi guys,

I've been looking for some rear shox for my import too. I tried searching through Nissan for the part number 11810 40P00 and it cost £18.50 and was some sort of valve apparatus, nothing related to shox

Surely this cant be right or am I doing it all wrong (again) ?

Many thanks,

Amer.

So sorry guys looked at wrong receipt eek.gif Correct part No 56210 33P25 and is described as a absorber shock on my Nissan receipt but again price £34:90+vat each
