hi harve just noticed on your engine detail you have the ptu on the pass side wing,was this a difficult job to do ie regarding the wiring any help would be grateful

Diddn't know about this link till now DOH!

My unit was coughing & spluttering since i bought the car.

Remove it very carefully, get all the green kak off of all the contacts gently, it will shock you how much is in there believe me.

This thing costs about £400 so take your time.

remove n/s tub pipes, & very very gently re-position loom for ptu unit, snap a wire & its balls up.

re-fit ptu to the inner arch fixing above fuse box with a 30mmx6mm bolt & nylock nut,

replace tub pipes, job done, 20 mins work = cool box of trix.

 

My ptu is now quite cool & happy for over a year.
