Water pump & Cambelt Change costs

Has anyone had a Cambelt and waterpump change done via a main dealer.

I have had to have this done today and am just curious on how much others paid.

Have been billed for

6 Hours labour + parts

Thanks

Sounds about right for a Main Dealer matey. Just depends on what they were charging you for labour wise???

Got mine done at Hiteq in Wigan.

They changed the radiator, water pump, thermostat, cam belt, air-con, fan, alternator belts, new plugs for £175.00 not including parts!

Somehow I bet you payed more...

The bill came to a total of £515.08 .. Hmm i think i'll be paying them a visit today.

After checking the bill through last night already picked up on £120 overcharging through labour.

They've quoted £50 an hour labour after a mystery call made last night they yet again quoted this price but when queried about discounted labouring costs for older models the guy comes back to say £30 an hour..

How they get away with this is shocking.

cost about £245 new water pump £75, camb belt £60, and they changed all the belts. got mine done through a nissan specalist htere labor rate was £25 hour and they gave me a pool car to use. £500 is a lot.

It's a lot but I bet most Nissan dealers would charge about that.

I live in Leeds and it's still worth me driving to Wigan to get a specialist do the work.

SE do fixed price servicing, get a quote from your local (or wherever) dealer and give Sylvia a ring
