when car is cold and i fire her up for the first time inthe morn or after i finish work, the car misses and wont accelorate properly (slightly back firing)

 

also when i touch the accelerator the revs drop from just under 1500 rpm to 1000 rpm (choke on) and sounds like it is getting more air than petrol, it also hesitates on pulling away

 

then when its warm the revs go up to just under 2000 rpm, but it stills hesitates when pulling away

 

any ideas

yeah the wheels would look better on mine too lol. have ya tried the plugs or coils.

if you come into jaguar on the A690 on saturday mornin before 11.am and come to parts dept i'll try and get 1 of the lads to have a quick look at it for ya its worth a shot. hope this helps mate.

try temp sensor conection is ok,then ide check no shite has fell into tank after all the work been done

Had same problems on mine so maybe this might help;

 

- PTU

- EFI Wiring Loom and connectors

- Spark Plugs

- Temp Sender units

 

possibly

- o2 sensors?

- MAF?
