I'm interested in dipone's wheels (http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=79729), but due to work policy I need a zed with an airbag. Does anyone know if you can retrofit an airbag steering wheel onto a non-airbag '94 UK TT auto?

I know it's a long shot but am kinda hoping that for this late a model, you paid effectively paid for the wheel and the wiring loom etc was the same for an airbag and non-airbag model...

I wouldn't have thought so mate......

.....but then anything is possible if you don't mind spending wads of cash.

I buy our fleet vehicles at work; whilst looking for a brand new Astra Van with a/c for an engineer, I got offered one without a driver's airbag for £2k less than all the others I could find. However I didn't want to go down that route (H&S regs etc and the possibility of driver sueing me or company if he had an accident) so I enquired about retro-fit airbags. Put it this way, it would have (just) been possible but cost way more then the £2k I would have saved on the van

Don't bother mate!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Just get some tipp-ex and write the letters SRS on the steering wheel, no-one will ever know.

Can you not have a word and sign some sort of disclaimer?

I can knock you one up with some bin bags and a Soda Stream canister.

If the health and safety people turn their noses up at it, tell them Craig David from the internet installed it and it's kosher!

£50.
