i swap my stock set up with ya  most ppl want coil overs and stiffer suspension :D

i just want some weaker springs and keep the coil overs please

Coilovers come with maching shocks and springs. Usually you can specifiy the spring rates you want. What make are the coilovers ? I think you will need to order softer spring rate from the manufacturer

hi the coil overs that i have got have just got jap writing on them so i dont know the manufactor

You should be able to ajust the ride height and damper setting so as to get a softer ride by winding the sping collers down. It will raise your ride height, but that will do it.

hi the ajustable collors are a the bottom of the spring so i will lower the ride height i think shorly

How much thread is there under the collors? If there is thread under the collors you wind the collors down towards the wheel hub. This extends your springs and raises the ride height, making the ride softer. Just wind them down 5 full turns at a time and test drive until you get the feel you want.

If the collors have no threads beneath them and you don't know what make they are then your looking at changing the lot.

ok thanks mark i will try that let you know many thanks discodave

They are made by Heibache So you could speek to Heibache UK with regard to replcement springs.

Just out of curiousity, What were you driving before the Zed, because a good sports car set up is a bit Teath rattley.

hi the coil over shockers i have are jap spec something like effice written on them i have been driving a wrx inpreza before the ride in that is ok but the springs on the 300zx just dont move at all much to strong springs i think

anybody know the standard spring poundage of my 300zx with coil over shocks please

hi i am trying to find the standard spring poundage for my 300zx coilovers can anyone help

You said earlier they were g-force coilovers ? I posted the g-force coilover spring rates :

G-force Coilovers

Front

13kg/mm (727lb)

Rear

7kg/mm (392lb)

Which is considerably higher than the more popular Tein coilovers.

Its worth noteing that the ride firmness/harshness is not just down the springs, but the strut damping rates. The spring rates are matched to the damping rate adjustablity range.

hi no sorry they are some jap spec ciffe or something

ciffce thats what is says on the shocker mate

all i would like to know is what poundage springs to put on the front and rear please
