are there any? Obviously the air flow is better but how does the filtration compare with the stock?

yeah I saw a vroom vroom where they'd take a crap car down to santa pod and see if week by week they could mod it to upgrade the 0-60 time. The first week what did they do? They put bloody go faster stripes on it, arguing that they would have a psychological advantage. That program really puzzles me sometimes. One week though they did install an induction kit and it had pretty much no effect but I think it was a really cheap one.

you around for a while then andy?

i take it you have not sorted your z out?, all these years working on 300's and not sorted your own

LOL I aint perfected the art of making a car run with just cylinder heads just yet, when I do, I'll let you all know ;) Last time I checked fuel was required in the combustion process and also a clutch helps transmit drive to the gearbox.....

Ahhh the old pounds for ponies one... Its up to you really but this test was done on a dyno. Ultimate back to back test would be on a dyno, first with the standard filter fitted, then with no filter at all. Another factor is that certain mods work well with each other, others don't. Yet another factor is that with turbo cars, unless you increase boost pressure, the engine won't be seeing any more air anyway so no power increase....

as andy says when you fit a filter that " breathes " better on a turbo car all it stands a chance of doing is helping the spool up time marginally due to less impedence on the turbo intake, the induction kits will work better on cars with raised boost due to you trying to get more out of a turbo than it is supposed to give.
