When I had my rear screen removed and refitted the trim no longer fitted properly as in these photos ....

I have recently sourced a good used replacement and it is the same, with a gap at both ends and the company doing it think the seal shrinks and I need to buy a new one, has anyone else had the same problem or are we missing something obvious and not realising it as I have never heard of this problem before, any suggestions gratefully recieved, Richard.

Mine has shrunk too. Not really worried about it tho.

I am though, the car is stuck in the corner of their workshop minus a rear screen till I either buy a new Nissan one or someone points out an obvious bit is missing, the old one fitted fine till it was removed so I am guessing they are correct and it does shrink ..... Nissan only want £200 for the new trim 014.gif

HI mate i fit screens for a living and would say if it was fitting correct before its not shrinkage you should have but stretching, i thing when the screen was removed the trims would have all stretched due to pulling the trims out, when it came to refitting the screen the trims were put in the wrong place's as the sides are longer than the top trim but the corner clips take alot of the extra size up, after a while the trim goe's back to its old size and is then to short. This is what i think has happened as i've done it loads of times, such an easy mistake to make if you don't mark up the trims, best way out of it is to break you rear screen, claim on the insurance £50 excess and ask for a new trim.

Cheers mate, I take it what you are saying is the trim was stretched when removed and was then cut down when refitted which then went back to normal size hence the gap, trouble is the replacement one has the same gaps and has not been cut at all which is why I think I am either missing a clip or something or they are correct and it shrinks.
