how the hell do you get 'em off!!!!!!!!!! :shock:

 

sorry.... hi all!!

 

Went to clean the throttle bodies yesterday..come to take the stock pipes off and jeez they were not moving anywhere!!!! There welded on the throttle housing!!!

 

Tried to get a small screwdriver under there and start prizing them off but looked like the rubber may of started to split if i did that..anyone got any tips!??!

Undue the jublee clips at both ends and make sure they are really loose. Then get hold with both hands and pull towards the front of the car and away from the Throttle bodies. Once its eased of the throttle body lift that end clear then push it of the metal pipes at the front.

i was pulling really really hard (oo er) ..good job the car was in park cus i was pulling the car towards me!!!!

 

Maybe i had pulled enough and i just needed to lift the pipe off? hmm .. i'll try it again!

I found if u take em off when there still warm, gives u just that little bit more flex!!

yea its even better when piping hot just to release the grip,then when completly cooled they just fall off
