Have to say I prefer the R33's looks to the R32.

The R33 is kind of big and tough looking. THe R32 looks like a Cortina with fancy headlights or something.

The NSX is much more expensive. And you'd be brave to buy one believing it'll not depreciate.

another good point, what are the chances of a nsx to depreciate in value ?? but i suppose depends on how you see it if you really want something your not bothered about whether you make or lose money

Most cars depreciate though, but personally I can't see the NSX losing much over the next couple of years yet. They are rare exotica, plus we have not been deluged with thousands of imports yet, thus bringing down the price of good UK spec cars. Sure there are a few imports around but not enought to affect really prices.

Plus whilst they have become more affordable, they are still out of reach for the "Chav market."

Also some sports cars reach a set price level and stay there for a few years before dropping - Mk4 Supra for instance. They all still made high prices until very recently; also any decent Porsche 928 will still fetch the same price they did 2-3 years ago........

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Nsx without a doubt.

The skyline is a sidestep from a 300zx...A NSX is a step up.

Hmm... I'm not sure I'd agree with that. If you're into tuning and want big BHP then a Skyline GTR is a much better bet than a zed, unless you're willing to spend some serious money. They're also quite different cars, in that the Skyline is AWD, whereas the zed is RWD.

But anyway that's not the question.

The answer really depends on what you're wanting from the car. If you want something that's really going to stand out and look unique then I'd go for the NSX. I saw an immaculate red one a few months back and it was *stunning*. They're also mid-engined and have awesome handling. They do perhaps look slightly dated, but in a very cool way it has to be said.

On the other hand, if you want to play the bad boy and get maximum performance for the money, or give yourself the ability to do some fairly serious tuning without breaking the bank it's got to be the R33 GTR. If you're willing to spend the same as you'd have to spend on the NSX to get a decent one (at least 15 - 20k, and this'll be for a relatively early example) then you should be able to pick one up with an absolutely awesome spec. But you're also going to need the cash to keep the thing running, and that isn't going to be cheap if the engine has been heavily modded.

For my money, I'm a bit of a tart so I'd go for the NSX. I've really become quite a big fan of them in recent months. It's classy and exotic, and it handles like a dream. Plus it's a Honda, so it's going to be reliable.

Totally different cars, just decide what kind of driving experience and ownership experience you want rather than listen to what someone else *thinks* looks better based on a few pictures off the internet.

The R33 GTR is the easiest and most accomodating of GTRs, so its a good introduction to playing around with the real Skylines (not the 3k GTS jobbies you see on ebay) - the suspension is softer than both R32 & R34, its more closer to the Zed/Supra in ride quality, less road noise, a bit more cabin space than the older R32. Its pick up from 1500-2500 RPM is slower than the lighter R32.

It has a rear adjustable wing that gives you low drag or reduction in rear lift to improve rear grip.

It's not a computer, I hate it when people from the internet or the streets assume this. Its a RWD car 90% of the time, with an active system that transmits upto 50% power to the front wheels. Its still possible on UK roads to lose rear end control of a GTR even with the 4WD system trying to help you.

yea ur just jelous cos i got more boot space!!! loads more!

I can fit at least a 10oz steak in the back of my Rx7 pk :)

edit - come to think of it, I could BBQ it for you off the exhaust flames :nana2:
