I just had a thought... how is we all keep our Zeds going and can afford their heavy drinking habit?

How many people just chuck money at it, and how many have to scrimp and save?!

Me, I don't want to know! Just clinging on, but if any big repairs need doing, I'm not sure what I'll do next...

  1. 1. How do you afford your Zed?

    • Ha ha ha, I'm loaded and I just throw money at it, repairs, mods, whatever it costs! :D
    • I've worked it all out, and I can afford the running costs and upgrades. I'm happy :)
    • Ignorance is bliss! I can't think about it too hard, but if my money balances I'm ok.
    • I really can't afford it, but I'm mad about the car so I scrape the cash together.
    • I live in a tent, no partner, down to 1 kidney, lung, eyeball; will sell bodily fluids for cash! :(

Mike

only problem i have is insurance, with only bein 20 it cost me 2500 grand to insure the greedy shit, not had any major problems and hope not too.

i have a 306TD as a everyday car

on average i do less than 1000 miles a year in the zed :)

The cars paid for now, spent a load on getting it the way I wanted it. My main cars a Punto so the Z lives in the garage, just gets used on good days. I have other interests with my music stuff so I only spend money on the car when needs be. As long as the car doesn’t go wrong I’m happy the way it is, although a nice interior would be nice and some big wheels and a wide arch kit. NO….NO….NOT AGAIN….. STOP IT……

We should run another pole next called "Do you tell your partner how much of your salary you blow on your Zed?"

Mine would kill me if she only knew

By being very carefull and saving hard for every mod that's going to go on it. Doing everything over the next 3 years instead of trying to do it all at once. It's called working to a budget and sticking to it. LOL

something always turns up when it goes wrong so i dont worry about the what ifs

I'm learning no point in worrying about it, if I budget properly we don't have to eat beans!

I'm getting into a better financial place now, so I'm just sensible about what I can do,I'd love to get all the work done NOW, who wouldn't

priortise what is important, sorted the engine out... :)

ordered some decent lights, it scares me when I can't see very well

prop

then the brakes..

then I will have a new car :hyper:

I'm just throwing money at mine, but spread out. Luckily I can afford it with a little bit of care and thought, but if I had to use it as a daily driver, then it would be sold!

Besides, I'm not exactly doing a lot to mine, so it's not costing me much just being used at weekends in the summer + weather permitting.

Ahh the joy of having a boyfriend not a husband, I don't have to explain myself to a partner...got to be some perks to being a single parent

I work my ass off at my job, soon will have 2 to 3 jobs and I don't drink(much) or smoke so my zed is my fun....

( i always wanted a tonka truck I got a doll with a head where I could put makeup on it and brush her hair

So how I spend my money is my business

this month boughts some HID's, an outfit for our company day and bought my daughter a winter coat(the one she wanted) can't do more than that as we would be eating beans

make sure all my bills are paid first, budgeting and saving for big items is the key, though it took me a long time to understand that
