Take the whole barrel off and replace with a new one! Though you'll need some way to take that solidering iron out first before you can unscrew it.

Out of interest was it the titanium key?

Just bog standard and there is a writing on it DAT- and two digits.

how far down has the key snapped ?

If your going to get a new barrel anyway put whats left of the key in and try turning and wiggling to get you home.

I've lost the bit that snapped :(

I've just rang my local Nissan and he reckons they might be able to cut the key if I can get the key code which may be on the inside of the door barrel and if I can provide the blank key, so now I have to go to a locksmith to see if I can get a blank key and take the whole door off to get the key code. :wack: Nice.

I've managed to get a key cut from nissan for a JAP import for £3.50

In future if it helps anyone:

The code on the door barrel was same colour as the car so was very faint, mine went in this order: C4** (

The nissan dealer told me they had no such codes in there book because the letters usually start with X or Y.

He said he would try X4** instead of C and if it works I got away with a cheap key, as luck turned out it worked, this will obviously not work for the people who have different keys for drivers door and ignition.

glad you got it sorted mate, i made a copy of my key about a week ago as i bent the original one and it looked like it is going to snap some time soon :wack:
