if you are running 1 bar should it be hitting it in all gears?

on my avcr sometimes it only goes to 0.89 then maybe it 1.03 depends on gear

is this correct or should it hit 1 bar in all gears

I wonder if your getting safety boost on some runs? Is it consistent or random occurances?

random .

It might spike a little over 1 bar in first or second as the boost rises so fast but I wouldn't expect that in other gears although in hot weather you won't run a true 1 bar so your avcr might be giving good readings.

Also in high gears if you are on standard turbo's I wouldn't expect it to hold 1 bar all the way to the redline.

ecu check is all fine

1st and second is about 90ish sometimes then 3rd to 5th can be 94-104

then sometimes 1st and 2nd can be 1bar .

Think its just a function of the boost controller this time of year and the lower gears as discussed above. My greddy profec B does the same pretty much. If the boost builds too much (usually in the first 2 gears) then it starts to trim the boost back before hitting max (to prevent spikes).

If your hitting 1 bar then its not safety boost, and your pretty unlikely to be running safety boost at 1 bar!

Try tweaking the settings with your boost controller and see how you get on then

Safety boost won't work with a boost controller in, you should have disconnected the stock solenoids.

Is it actually random, or lower boost in specific (lower) gears?

I though the AVC-R is fed the current gear from the ECU, allowing you to set it up to limit boost and therefore wheelspin in lower gears? Which might explain what you're seeing.

However, that's only what I've gleaned from my mate who has on in his 200SX. I'll be gladly shot down! :)

like clakrkey said it wont run safety boost but it will retard ya timeing so get it pluged in data scan ect if all ok

av u got a after market boost gauge fitted?

I presume you have the selflearn function on ?

if so, disable it...or only enable it in the high gears.

it will give you more stable boost on a AVCR
