Has anyone used any sort of Coolant leak seal products like K-seal???
I don't want it as a permenant repair like they say, just a temporary seal so i can use the car for a few weeks and to drive it the 100 odd miles to south west z to get the head gasket done.
Any information would be great. Any better or recommended idea's you have so it's possible for light use of car and trip to SWZ would be great. I'm probably better off puting it on a trailer and not using it but i am without a vechicle at the mo and i need to get around. If i'm gunna do ireversable damage then i'll walk.
A few people have said it works a treat but they are driving normal cars, by that i mean they are not driving Zed's or TT cars.
Will it cause any problems when the head gasket is done???
This is what it says in the product info.
K-Seal is designed to be used to seal holes and cracks in the head gasket, radiator, heater core, freeze plugs, water pump casing and other metal components of the cooling system in both petrol and diesel engines.
The mechanic i got the car from says to use it, but this is the fecker that sold me the car so i take any info from him with a pinch, i mean mountain of salt.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Pete
