If my zeds performance is not suffering and it boosts ok but it smokes when given stick or shortly afterwards whats the matter with it? I really am losing patience with these god forsaken cars.

Had an engine swap performed by a certain garage and thought the engine would have been checked before it was transplanted from the donor car.

Ah Well

PS.Any members able to have a look next week in or near Brum appreciated

could just be your pcv valves mate. they are about £50 fitted including pipework.

They were changed with the engine swap....I wish it were that simple.

have you had a compression test carried out ?

Yep and no problems! Can't work these engines out!!

turbo/s!

check intercooler pipework for any evidence of oil,a small amount is normal but if its quite bad your seals may be worn,id put my money on turbos,if compression checks out ok,and is mainly on boost or just of let off then it points to turbo seal failure.
