that's the Toyota 2000GT you're thinking of Si,

Toyota built a couple of convertibles especially for 'You only live twice'

very expensive collectors cars now. think they were 2 or 3 times the price of a Jag E type at the time.

just noticed the guy has one of the BMW 'Batmobile' CSLs in the garage too!

Lol they are quite comical, the Japanese way of making a car, copy somebody elses :p

That Datsun seems like an MG ripoff, and the Toymota looks like an E-type ripoff.

Buy it Mick. If you can afford it then you have got to get it. That will only go up in value and it looks nice too.

The Toyota 2000Gt above should be worshipped as the inspiration behind the 240Z when the design returned to Datsun (Nissan), beginning the whole Z era which resulted in our beautiful 300's- often called the 'what if', if the Toyota had not happened- perhaps Nissan would never have been inspired to re-establish the Z Car in the tradition of the 240Z and develop the 300ZX!!

Despite only 380 odd ever produced, there is actually an owners forum!!

Regards

Dave
