Might need a set of TEIN HA's refurbished. TEIN UK can overhaul them but could anyone else recommend or know of a company that would also do the job?

Cheers,

Leigh

i would rather the company that made them to do the refurb work. they can check its tolerances etc to make sure its ok at the same time.

It's likely the best solution however would be nice to have a Plan B to compare them with :)

Do you know how much it costs for TEIN to refurb them?

My first thoughts are it would cost more than a new setup, so I'm keen to know the cost.

Cheers, Mike...

It's approx £150+VAT per damper (dependent on condition and what needs doing) with an approximate 6 week turnaround. It's not essential that I get mine done and the refurb is just a back up plan at the moment.

Would've done mate but I couldn't say no to the price on these. I can strip/beadblast and refinish them myself so they'll look brand new and as far as a rebuild is concerned like I said it's only a back-up plan, the chap I bought them off is a top bloke and a good mate of mine so any major problems I can return them. Did that guy have yours in the end mate? ;)

Leigh,

Good to talk to you the other day

Not sure what is happening with the Tein HA's, just waiting for a reply at the moment only just got in, they are far cleaner than I imagined and I am sure well worth £450 as I cannot imagine another second hand set in better condition. As I said car is late low mileage 1994 TT MK3 and only been in UK since July so is spotless underneath. Have apent the day taking everything off it. Totally stripped underneath, even exhaust rubbers! No rust anywhere at all. Sold the manual conversion off it and now waiting to see if I need the engine fronm it or not, the original main reason I bought it, or if my engine is OK after running with no water.

Just trying to figure out what is in demand and how much to sell things for for. Such as rear diff, I think electronic hicas? I believe I may be better selling the brakes on the 200SX site as they are an upgrade. Was thinking of asking £250 as all discs are exellent, no ridge, pads are good, greenstuff in the front and calipers again look perfect. Do you think I am on the right track? Never taken a car apart as my knuckles can testify!

Stripping the interior tomorrow, and going to have the seats retrimmed in leather as they are both electric at the front. Mine has the original 300 zx special edition Recaro seats in black which are supportive and nice as long a you dont drive for over 2 hours, my other half claims they become uncomfortable after that. Good luck with your project.

The brakes will sell like hotcakes on the 200sx forum mate. Might have to drop the price a touch as I seem to remember they go for between £150-200 (think I sold mine for £150 in the end for a quick sale). Sounds like you've done a fair bit already chap, good on ya! Best of luck with the sale of the rest of the parts! :)
