After spending lots of money fitting a strosek body and upgrading my TT's engine,

It has the show!, It has the go! but it just

won't bloody slow. Basically the brakes are now complete arse with this extra power. Does fitting groove discs with better pads make any difference. If so can anyone recommend any supplier in particular or suggest an alternative option, short of hitting the car in front!!

Also are there any plans to hold a meet way

down south?

Thanks

well i found aout about a set of tarox 6 pisotn calipers and 330 mm discs which are around about a £1000.00 and will fit straight on except you need 17in or bigger rims.

this is a really good option

Fit an AP Racing kit to it. It works and looks the dogs danglies. Or you could have a baby.

Anything will be an improvement on how it is at present, if it means I can avoid compacting my Z to the length of a short wheel base model. You need good brakes living on the Isle of Wight, the only place in the world where there is a white line down the middle of the road and your wing mirrors are still touching the hedges on both sides!!

the reason i would go for tarox is that it is a 6 piston caliper and cheaper than ap racing and you dont ahve to use silvia

Can we get over the SE issue as stated before their are two camps those that do not have a problem with SE and those that do, it is getting somewhat sad that every post you do you say but don't use SE

Warren,

LOL, You crack me up!!! I totally agree with you but behave yourself as there are those that are happy with SE's work.

I have the 330mm AP discs complete with 6 piston calipers and these were supplied at a great price through Johnny at Grasshopper.

They need a couple of uses around town to warm up the pad compound and are barely taxed even under fast road use.

The AP brakes take off speed to give good re-assuring braking although you always have to remember that the Z weighs in at 1.5t and takes a bit of stopping once you start increasing the hp.

A cheaper option than either AP or Tarox is the skyline setup. These are a great improvement over stock and will handle 400hp without a problem.

Cheers Steve.

You may also consider the R33 Brembo conversion. 500-00 will secure you discs / calipers and pads. I use them myself. Wow.

Gaz.

Only the late 92 GLXi RS Convertable which I managed to get my hands on from a car dealers in Ashton. Lucky me.

quite clearly you cant state my opinion on the forum so whats the forum about

Quite clearly Warren the forum is about keeping your opinions to yourself and telling everyone what everyone else them to know - lol

lol oh ok

well i dont suggest you upgrade your brakes as the standerd obes are better than the skylines lol

Skyline Brembo calipers are a marked improvement over the standard factory Nissan calipers. The calipers fitted to the Z are very similair to the Nissan caliper fitted to the R32 Skyline GTR. Nissan saw fit to junk then in favour of the Brembo set up on the N1 spec R32 GTR and all R33's................ Just a small thought

Once and for all the Brake question should be resolved at the next Big meet.

Standard Nissan brakes on a standard Z you may well get away with.

Performance Z. No No No No No
