I locked the beast on the remote, put it in the garage, left it and the battery has died. Result - I am locked out and the remote won't work becuase there is no power. How do I get into the car? The key won't work in the door either because it is deadlocked. Nissan UK were very helpful - just break the window...ha, f'ing ha!!

Any ideas???

Deadlocks on a 300? First i've heard of that.

Anyway, find something accessible with a permanent live feed and hook up a battery charger to it. I don't know what does have a perm live feed with the ignition off, somebody must though.

There are other ways of gaining entry to a locked 300zx, but for obvious reasons I won't discuss that on here.

edit - duh, no need to break in if you have the key lol, as Bazza says ;)

M8,

I can get into mine by bypassing the remote fob and pointing the key in the general direction of its car designated housing (lock) and inserting....followed by a gentle twisting action from the wrist :x:

try it in the passenger door mate, then climb over. Thats what i had to do, the boot lock should still open tho.

If you gotta Break something do a t top as they are easy to replace!

T top glass is toughened stuff surely?

Anyway zeds don't have deadlocks unless you've had them fitted, thats if you can do that. If the key wont turn its because you haven't used the door lock in ages and its siezed up, spray tonnes of WD40 in there and it will free up.

Call the AA or RAC out, they can get in without any damage to your car......

I have heard from ahem..dubious sources that the side repeater has a direct feed and thats how you bypass an immobilsed system. This could be true as Im thinking about it because of the need to use hazard lights in an emergency with ignition off...you think??

See if you can get to the bonnet catch from under the car using a tool long enough to reach it then charge the battery or jump it with another! that will give you some power to open the doors again!

Jack up the rear of the car so you can pull the car out, then jack the drivers side up and attach battery leads from another battery to the starter motor feed ( live) and the earth to the bell housing the alarm will be powered up now and will unlock the car.
