On my second Zed now, thinking it was all spot on after having a real sh1t first one.

 

Not having much luck with my second one now.

 

I've only driven home and to a meet in it.

Paying loads of insurance and that and its just sat in the garage.

 

Its just this squeal/whine on start up thats p1ssing me off. I've just spent loads on fixing what I thought it was and it wasnt. Just seem to be thowing money at em and not being able to drive em.

Nothing else is wrong with it and once its fixed it'll be fine.

 

I know its an old car and that thinks happen etc..etc.. read all that before buying one, but im just really p1ssed off with this one now.

 

Just thinking into the future and want money to do other things, just with a house and this car thats all I do.

 

Considering once I fixed it selling it and buying something that I can drive!

 

And the new battery in there fooking died too!!!! Nothing goes right!!!!

The battery died? It was brand new, Tony only bought the day before I swapped it with him at Japshow so he could get home with his broken alternator.

Well that could explain the noise, it could be the alternator has packed up, and that's why it's making the noise and battery died as it's not charging, I'd pop to quick kwick fit and do a free battery test, they'll tell you if battery charging is on the low side.

Christ? You think they're problems? Just niggles those are by the looks of things.

I don't think its the alternator mate as the battery was dead when it came out of TonyC's zed as his alternator was broken. We swapped them and bumpstarted my car, and the battery was fully charged in no time at all (the missus stopped in a garage just after and turned the engine off without thinking, it started straight up again)

Also rodders has ran the engine with all the belts off.

I ran it for a year with the whine on startup and TonyC before me. It stopped whining once the weather warmed up a bit so I never got around to sorting it. I feel really bad that Rodders is getting p*ssed off withit.

I know its not major problems, but I've already had one Zed die on me.

 

I can just see things going all tits up again, lol.

 

But im changing my mind now, I dunno, ahhhhhhhhhhh

Don't sell Mark, you'll love it once its back together. Its fast as feck in the cool autumn as well! I would have kept it for deffo if I was able to afford it. Enjoy it before the winter sets in.

Welcome to Zed World!!!(not the garage) I've had 3 really tidy ones and they've all needed thousands spending on them, they're just expensive cars to run unfortunately mate.
