Been in touch with people at Santa Pod about using their venue as a possible meeting point for the forum, heres there reply.

 

>To obtain entry to the track is £8.00 PP.

>To run your car is £10.00 for as many runs as you can get in on the strip.

>R-W-Y-B days around the 1st of April are the - 25th of March & the 8 of April.

> You must have a valid DVLC licence.

 

And I suppose you have to sign a liabilaty disclaimer as well!!!

But thats it. It is a std RWYB day so cossy's & RS tub's will be abundant I suppose, could make for some good pictures.

in the reply, it looks like 1st april is not a rwyb day, but if you look on the calendar on their website www.santapod.com then it is.

 

any chance you can clarify that Harve ?

 

if it is, then it gets my vote, although i think you need to be there early, which might be a problem if we are all travelling from afar.

also, my birthday the day before means i might have trouble getting up early as well....

I also noticed the 1st on the 2001 calender page but nothing was mentioned on any of the e-mails of faxes returned!!!

I only caught up with there replies tonight so I shall make more enquiries tommorow.

Or how about a pub in silverstone, perhaps!

Can't do 1st april. 8th is best for me...

 

i chose the 1st for a couple of reasons..

 

1 being it is a kid free weekend for me

 

2 being that Bob and DaveW will both be at my place, and on their way home back up north that day

 

you could always all turn up at my place on the night before (31st march) for my birthday

 

pick some floor space....
