Had a hippy moan at me today 'Your car is so polluting'

Yes, that's right. Driving back from the MOT today, I was sat waiting to join a road..again full of stupid pedestrians. One of which saw me sat there with the car burbling away, thought it was in her best interest to moan at me because my car was a 'big gas guzzler'. She said, 'stop polluting the air with that car'.

So I leaned out of the window and to her to "STF and stop polluting my ears with the crap coming out of her mouth". A few by-standers started laughing at this point, to which I made a silly commend about 'her types' and the knackered old busses they use which pump out 20 times more crap than my Z ever would.

She walked off in a huff then. I just smiled sweetly and drove on my merry way.

Oh, the joys of living in Glastonbury!

Is that the bloke that headed the Newbury bypass tree huggers protesters then?

Look at his stupid haircut. Anyone with a haircut like that wants all of his remaining intelligence removed by a f.uck-wit-atron before throwing him in the river Amazon and have bilharzia swim up his colon.

Say for arguments say I had to use public transport to get to work. It would be as follows.

Bus from Glastonbury to Bristol Temple Meads = £25 per week on 10 day saver return.

Temple Meads to Avonmouth via train = £ 10 return per day...only 4 returns a day.

Taxi from Avonmouth to Royal Portbury Dock = £15 (return) per day.

Time per day 5 hours

Cost per week £150

FU.CK OFF YOU TREE HUGGING ENVIRONMENTALIST PILTCHARDS!

BTW, when I was talking about buses in my first post. I wasn't talking about the public transport variety....I was talking about their 5hitty vans and hippy buses that a lot of them ride round in.

I have no time for people like that .. Being the sensible social person that I am I would have told her to fook off whilst reving the engine loudly and then gone back to find her changing gears in perfect timing with the dump valves as I went past her.. LOL ..

fookin people ... make me wan't to puke :hurl:

This man has a lot to answer for.

Hunt him down and torture him by making him wash.

It's not the protesting that bothers me so much, I mean who after all really wants a massive bypass going through their backyard? But this guy swampy isn't even from Newbury, or anywhere near it, is he?

Which I think is pretty much where I stand. You can moan at me about driving when there's a realistic and workable alternative, and at the moment there largely isn't. I'm just lucky enough to be within cycling distance of work.

My first software job was for a company in Abbotsbury, about 10 miles or so from where I was living in Dorchester. At the time I didn't have a car, and didn't go into the office every day because it took (no joke) over an hour and a half to get there using a combination of train and bus. I could almost literally have walked there quicker.

So then I got a car and it took between 15 and 20 minutes. And call me Mister Picky, but I really do kind of expect comparable performance from public transport if I'm going to use it.

As an example, from completely the opposite end of the spectrum, Cambridge to Kings Cross takes 50 minutes on the train. Add another 25 minutes for me to get to the station and we're talking an hour and a quarter. I guarantee that without a police escort, or doing it at 3am, it would take an awful lot longer to do that by car. Consequently if I need to go to London I almost never drive.

Amen brother......

And remember those Citroen CVs they used to (and some still do) drive??

Check out the emissions on those FFS - way higher than a (catalized) ZX, yet they enjoy low road tax owing to the size of their engines :xxx:

Just hand the bitch a bar of soap Si, the smell from their unwashed bodies causes much more offence than a little ZX exhaust gas.....

Richard :smw:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
