Just had to show off my new 'baby', a Jap import that's just 'off the boat' not even registered yet, which I paid a deposit on yesterday. It's a 1995 Series III (or IV?) Z32 Silver 2+2 Non-Turbo Manual TargaTop High Spoiler.

Although the mileage is only 72k km. (45k miles) it's being given a full service, including cam belt and water pump, will be MoT'd and registered in my name and taxed then fully valeted ready for me to collect on Friday.

Oooooooooooooo.......I'm so excited, I've even learned how to add a photo to my signature just to give you a peep!

'95 = series 4.

Looks very nice too.

Yes, I know it SHOULD be a Series IV but I can't be certain. I've checked some of the usual items for dates (seat belts, roller blind, boot carpet and wheel centre) and they all show "1995". It's got the pillar mounted front belts and three point rear belts, it's got the 4-speed fan air conditioning, it's got the driver's air bag in the steering wheel, BUT it doesn't have power seats, cruise control, remote locking or velour interior, all of which are supposed to be on Series III let alone IV. I must say the car looks genuine in all other respects else I wouldn't be buying it, but.............

What's your thoughts?

Were those items just standard on the TT by any chance?

That aside, nice ZX mate!

Good to get a late-ish model - pretty rare

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

i love silver ZS!!

Probably 'cos it's an NA.

There were different trim levels on each Series of car too.

In fact, sounds just like mine!

My car is a 95 NA and it doesn't have electric/leather seats. Think it was only on the TTs it was standard...

But, Graham S and lynchmob, shouldn't it at least have remote locking? Has yours?

Dave

When i picked up my zed last year from the importers my jaw nearly fell off when i first saw it. Congratulations dude :)

Dave

Nope, mine didn't.

I'VE MOVED THIS COILOVER ITEM TO A NEW THREAD

Just spoken to the dealer I'm buying from. He says the car's gone through the MoT 100% and the garage informed him that there have been Coilovers recently fitted. Would someone tell me whether or not these are beneficial.

I had no idea what they were until I had a quick search on our forum and it seems from what I've read so far that they are desireable for racing (which I wont be doing) but can give a hard ride for normal road use. I don't know the manufacturer of mine yet but shouldn't they be adjustable for both height and ride?

I collected my new Zed yesterday and I am quite pleased with it, it drives extremely well and I had a most enjoyable trip home but there are a couple of things that have taken the edge off my pleasure.

1) The radio aerial was not working, I have fixed that this morning by finding that the electrical connection for the aerial (in the boot) was not connected.

2) The boot light wasn't working. I have also fixed that by putting a bulb in (there was no bulb fitted at all).

But can you please help me with the following two items:-

3) When I filled the tank the fuel gauge needle didn't move off empty (although the warning light went out). Any ideas?

4) There appeared to have been no rear fog light fitted. I phone the guy up this morning and he pointed out that a switch had been fitted near the bonnet release lever and this switched on one of the reversing lights.

I found this to be correct but shouldn't the rear fog light be red, not white?
