dont use anything brushable that dries hard.it traps moisture when it loosens and peels off.ive used underbody wax made by bodyline.it comes in black or brown and never dries.you can get it from partco and it doesnt cost a lot.you will need an underbody gun to apply it,but if you want to preserve your baby cost is not an issue!!!.

If your car is on axle stands or over a pit you can waxoil the whole underside, arches around the fuel tank, bat bay etc in an hour. I used two 2.5 ltr cans and the spray gun which i strongly recommend. You will get minging but its worth the hassle!

concrete is pretty good, bit on the heavy side though.

Am i right in thinking jdm cars have under seal the same as uk models .I know some jdm versions of uk cars dont have under seal eg 200sx and 180sx same car jdm 180 has no under seal and rot like an alfasud in the uk.

I've been using ACF50 (anti-corrosion formula 50 - designed and used on aircraft as Rich said) for a year or so on my bikes and car.

As far as I can tell it's brilliant.

Also it leaves an incredibly thin, oil-like layer and nothing else so it won't cause problems of any sort.

I think it's £40-odd a litre but a little goes a very, very long way.

I can get you the aviation ACF50 for nothing so long as you dont mind driving up to Scotland :) Is that how much it costs to buy??? geez surely waxoil at around £15 for a 2.5 litre can is far better value? Cant be that much difference?

Yamez - I visit St Andrews every few months.

I'd love some of the ACF50 if you could get any - I use it on my car and two old motorbikes - there'd be some beers in it for you. :duffer:

If you can't it's no problem.
