Aparantely you can do it with the cambelt on still.

Theres a few things to take off, like the rad, fan. I got all the front end off my engine at the moment and it wasnt hard to do.

The lower cambelt cover must come off, I don't remember if you need to remove the top ones too though, I'd say its likely.

To get the lower cover off the crank pulley needs to come off first which means taking off all 3 belts.

I'd say its a bitch of a job, allow an entire day to do it.

Ok cheers guys iam gonna start it tomorrow night and then finish it saturday hopefully

I thought it was a bad idea to fit water pump with cambelt inplace because of water and antifrezze going all over the belt isnt good .

it's honestly noy much more work to just do the belt and all the bits - cambelt's not hard to swap, just time consuming!! I did mine comfortably in a weekend, and I was taking regular breaks and doing bits around the house at the same time..

Well the new pump is on, its pretty easy to do only took me 3 and a half hour.Removed the fan and radiator only had to take the right hand side (as you look at it from the front of the car) top cam cover off and the three belts and bottom pulley also the bottom cam cover to get to the water pump.
