What's that all about then ?

I'v seen it mentioned quite a lot

What are the advantages/disadvatages ?

Easy to do ?

Do you have to remove the plenum or can it be done in situ ?

It means there's about 50 fewer joins to leak afterwards ! You probably can do it with the plenum on, but it'll be a bit easier with it off. Could dump the EGr at the same time too.

Cheers Andy, is there a procedure anywhere for both ?

why would you want to do that? i dont get it

Improved reliablity.....as above, it removed loads of potential water leak points and the water pipes are not needed - Nissan overengineering.

Plus it makes it easier/quicker to remove and refit plenum.

I bypassed mine in situ , quite easy .

You need to remove the hard pipes off the turbo,s to gain access to the turbo coolant pipes .

If you look at the two metal pipes at the back of the engine that feed the matrix , each one has a small pipe just below were the rubber feed pipes to the matrix are.these feed the water around the plenum and the tubs.

Remove the original turbo rubber 6mm coolant pipes , take a new feed from the matrx feed pipes mentioned above , one to each turbo and thats it   HTH
