Hi guys,

I have a 300zx H reg twin turbo. ad my mate do some work on it and he left the bunch of 6 earths (ithink 6 anyway) off the engine, then tried to start it, this caused the ignition amp to get red hot and fry itself as earth was tried to be foun,d so ive fit a new amp, and found that i have no trigers to them, or the ignition relay. I now suspect a blown ecu aswell. So where is tere ecu located? (people keep sayin different places). Please help, or if there are any more ideas of faults. It was a perfect runner till he did this. Richard

I've done a fault code read out on the ecu and it comes up with code 55, which i believe is no faults. I have fuel and the injectors are pulsing but the ignition relay is not clicking, and i have no spark at the coils, any more ideas. HELP!!! I want it back on the road

Not so sure about the ignition relay, as for spark have you tried swapping the Ptu for a known good one?

By PTU do you mean the ignition amp which is on the left hand cambelt cover as you look at the engine, with a 6pin multi connector and 7 pin multi connector. If you mean that, yes i put 1 on from a working vehicle.
