I'm gonna be doing a boost leak test sometime this week when the PO finally deliver the tester to me :xxx:

Will doing this also show any leaks in vacuum lines and other pipes etc.

Also, is there anywhere on the net or the forum that will give me a picture of likley pipes that may be leaking if I do find a leak ?

You remove your air filter and stick the detector in the hole. Then you pump some air in (but not too much. Have a search but I think someone said to keep it below 10 or 20psi). You'll hopefully then be able to hear where the air's leaking out from.

It should help you find leaks in your vacuum lines, yes. :)

I brought a vacuum/pressure tester from halfords, and Tee'd off from my boost leak tester. This way you can accurately monitor how much pressure your applying and if it drops off by itself (I stick to a low pressure like 5 PSI which seems enough to be able to hear any hissing). My problem was a leaking carbon canistor under the passenger wing.
