Thats gonna be a job for saturday am i think........is it the same as normal ignition? take out plug/re attach to coil pack/hold it somewhere metal/look for spark or is there a different way of doing it? :headvswal

if no spark im presuming PTU failure then or coil packs?

ECU still flashes fault code 11?=CAS? Anyone got a shotgun?

have you re-set the ECU? It'll show a fault code for something like 50 ignition turns before it clears (or the ECU is reset).

Vijay

Yeah its been off (battery) for about 3 days............anyone got a PTU? Before i hang meself.

If your still geting code 11 after an ecu reset the it would probably point at wiring for the cas

Sorry me dads just said the battery has not been off its been left in...My mistake..Ive checked and double checked that mate and cleaned up all the contacts too. It's all spotless, I think i need to check for a spark as the cas does fire the injectors when turned manually so it must be ok, My old one did and so did smithys one? it must be a spark problem....

I am working, but could head down Sunday if you want to try my PTU?

Cheers for the offer mate but smithys sending me one over to try out..

Nice offer tho fella

Checked and double checked connections last week....all spotless and replaced

Checked for a spark and there isnt one at all so hopefully PTU???????

you can open them up & repair them, there is a write up (i think on andyp's site?) about how to do this.

basically cut them open & check for loose wires, if its failed completely will be one of the main feed/earths. solder a new wire in & alls good :D

done this on mine as a temp measure till i got my new one from the states!

Blimey.....dunno if ive got the skills for that...great link tho...I had the loss of cylinders then stall problem on mine

Mark the position of the CAS unit and unbolt, Turn ignition on and rotate the shaft of the CAS unit. you should hear the injectors click as they fire plus the pump pulse also. If you remove a coil pack and insert a plug you should also see it spark. You should be able to see what is not working from this test.

Yeah cheers but done all that already...CAS fires the injectors ok but i have no spark so im gonna try the PTU next....ta anyhow
