I was just wondering what the bhp, top speed and 0-60mph are on a unmodded 300ZX TT? what is the difference between UK and JDM because of compression ratio and manual and auto? Also, what gains are made in the above with the easy mods of better induction, uprated exhust and chipping?

Top speed of the TT is rev limited to 165MPH not 155MPH... Thats beamers and mercs!!! 0-60 5.5+

Noooooooooo! :nono: Def not!!! Before I got my uk chipped and had the boost upgrade done on the standard chip on the rolling road it would rev out at 165Mph and that was at 6812RPM!!!

UK & JDM the same.

 

Auto's are less powerfull, but have cam changes and smaller tub impellors to improve response, aimed at assisting performance figures.

 

JDM is limited to 112mph

UK limited to 155/165 ?

 

Capable of 170+ in standard form.

 

Exhaust, Chip, Induction and 1bar boost will give 40-60hp increase.

 

When my was at that level, I did timed performance runs. Timed by Datasan software they uses the ECU speed signal and starts and stops automatically.

 

0-60 mph - 4.77 secs

0-100mph - 11.98 secs

(TT Manual)

 

Both times could easily be beaten with practice.

I think its 300bhp, top speed of 155mph, 0-60 - manual 5.5, auto 6.5

I read somewhere the Auto's had a Quicker 0-60 than 6.5 and was suppossed to be the same as a manual??? Hence the smaller turbos and different cam profiles!

In a book i've got "Nissan 300ZX the enthusiast's companion" it say's Nissan test'ed all european car's for a 155MPH limit. Quote "Each car is run to and held at it's maximum speed; though the Turbo is in theory limited to 250km/hr (155mph) they do not seem to be too concerned about the occasional example that attains 165..."

155, 165 - if your talking of chipping it then it dont matter anyway ;)

Just need to clarify stock tt's 0-60 time auto & manual?? Most car reviews or Magazines tend to get this wrong!! :)

I don't know what Nissan say on a manual UK car i've seen 5.5, 5.6, 5.7, 6.0,

But a magazine or nissan test will be better than what you or me can get coz if the gearbox goes it don't matter. i once read Autocar when they test'ed an M5 and the clutch went doing the 0-60 test.

The times quoted in magazines are not much use anyway as its difficult to reproduce them (they dont care about the car at all , and were based when our cars were 15 years younger!) best figures are those quoted by legrath above for as uk TT manual as he managed them on the road (private clearly..) with the car 10+ years old

Seems to suggest the cars varied in speed depending which year your zed was from...

 

first time is 0-60 second is for a standing 1/4 mile

Autos aint slow, 4.9sec 0-60 from a 1990 with only exhaust, filter and chip. No boost increase.

dont know what my 0-60 time is but my 1/4 mile time is 12.7 and i've had it showing 189mph on my apexi boost controller!

mine is jap manual with a few mods.
