Is the standard nissan brake line thread 3/16? Im looking at the section out of the car that terminates in a male end where the rubber flexi hose joins to go down to the caliper?

(I am trying to get an adapter made to convert this into standard thread to finally get my goodridge hoses on.. If i can get a good solution i should be able to get adapters made for anyone with the same problem for a few £)

I'm pretty certain it's 10mmx1mm. And I think the thread on the Goodridge hoses is 3/8 UNF.

The adaptors that Goodridge supply convert the female UNF end into a metric male end. That's no use as it needs to convert the female UNF end into a metric *female* end so it can connect to the hard pipe.

I spent a fair while looking for a suitable adaptor and thought I'd found something suitable, but you also have to be careful about whether the end of the connectors are concave or convex. I ended up with something that all fitted together but with 2 concave ends so there wouldn't have been a decent seal. :headvswal

I gave up in the end and bought some from Luke. I'd be interested in a set of adaptors if you can get them made though. :duffer:

Unfortunatly ive failed in my hunt! Bloody goodridge honestly! The only way i can see around it is to get a female nissan threaded end flared onto some new pipe, and the a male goodridge threaded end onto the pipe. But it wouldnt be a very eligant soultion to the problem!

Managed to get the following info on threads from the place i was hoping would make an adapter

"As far as we know the thread normally used by Nissan on brake pipes is M10

x 1 on standard 3/16 od pipe although we do not have details for your model

to confirm that. Nissan use two types of M10 x 1 male fittings on their

models...one threaded to the end and the other with a 2/3mm lead. Both are

standard fittings used in the trade for brake pipe for most manufacturers. You will

need to go back to Goodridge to check the thread of the fittings on your

hoses before we can advise you further and also let us know whether the hose

fittings are male or female."

So from that im guessing I need a female M10x1 end with 2mm lead? What about the male end for the goodridge pipe?

3/8 UNF, I'm pretty sure.

I rang Goodridge to see if they'd supply the correct adaptors. I didn't manage to get through to the correct department and I was told they'd ring me back. They never did and I didn't chase it up in the end. May be worth giving them a call.

Havnt checked the threads for the 300zx TT, but, the Goodridge Rear Lines for the Supra MA70 *should* fit the 300zx TT fronts

Were currently doing a BBK setup for the Ma70 which uses 300ZX TT front Calibers, so ive just started researching this myself.

Bloddy typical! I buy the kit for the 300 and it doesnt fit! I should have just ordered the kit for the supra lol! If you manage during your research to find someone that could make an adapter that would be apprechiated! Or if you know someone that would be willing to buy my goodridge kit that would fit some other car im guessing!

EDIT: Anyone know a good number for goodridge? Surly they should sort this out for me somehow! Getting pretty pi$$ed with the situation!

EDIT: Maybe some sucess. Ive just spoken with someone at Goodridge and they are aware of the problem. I am going to send my kit back to them and they will be sending a replacement out. If the replacement fits my car then i will post the details up here and anyone else in the same boat can get it sorted.

(Just want to make sure my kit fits first before posting the details)
