Always has been and always will be, 'BLADE RUNNER'. Nothing ever comes close. Watched it last night for the first time in about a year and it reminded me how brilliant this film is. Hard to believe that it was made nearly 25 years ago.

Reason for the thread...I watched it again last night...but for the first time in about a year.

I know Chewie is a fan of it like me.

I've actually had the pleasure of seeing it on the big screen about 10 years ago, when my local cinema started re-screening some of the classics. Was breath taking then.

Don't think anything will come close, although I do have a lot of favourites, just nothing that'll ever top this film.

£2.99!! B@stardos! Shouldn't have got it straight away and waited! lol! Mind you the deleted scenes found in the directors cut are hidden as Easter Eggs on the original release...it's only the penultimate scene that is really changed I think?

So many films that have been forgotten:

The Butterfly Effect is amazing

Top Gun for its pure cheese

Back To The Future

Indiana Jones

LOTR

Forest Gump

The Terminal

Have to state that Tom Hanks is fantastic

Normally.

clarkmagpie got it spot on with true romance. and natural born killers, and anything else tarantino has had an influence on.

one of my favourite scenes EVER is Natural Born Killers. When Mickey's in the prison hed captive by the guards. He jokes around so they're relaxed, and you can feel the tension building as Rage Against the Machine kicks in. He steals a shotgun from a guard then proceeds to cause absolute carnage! awesome film!

I forgot about this classic: The Big Lebowski (1998)

"That rug really tied the room together"

I much prefere a good story to any visual effects. If it has both then thats good, but the human condition is more of what interests me.

I think "Ice Cold in Alex" is one of the best films ever made. Brilliant inter play of charators who all have an individual agenda and forced by the need to survive to have the same agenda.

That beer they drink at the end is so good you can taste it.

Lawrance Oliviers Version of Henry the 5th

Phenomenon

Basic

Empire of theSun

Oceans 11 & 12

The Three Kings

What a list!
