Getting a sorta whining/high pitched scraping from my front drivers side brake caliper. I thought at first it was a bearing on my power steering pump (That sortta noise), but its only there when I move car, and gets faster.

I tried bending back the guard slightly in case that was rubbing/catching.

Shims are all in and pins are pushed in etc

any ideas?

Shall I just get it up in the air and strip it down to try and find out

Or is there something I can do with wheel firmly on ground?

Ive tried hitting it with a rubber mallet too :)

I'd go for it being the pad wear limiter. Mine did, drove me insane until I bent it back out the way, just to buy me enough time to get new pads and be able to cope with driving.

Passed the MOT today with old the pads still in.
