Ok, i've rebuilt my complete engine with forged rods and piston, new bearing, new water pump, new oil pump, new gaskets, new belt, new fidanza flywheel, new underdrive pulley, new injectors, new turbos, new cluch, new gearbox...

All this were brand new and i did 2000 miles with them.

But last month on track, I've got the small hose (return oil fo right turbo) that was cut. So all day, I've been loosing my oil but didn't catch it.

At the end of the day, I did a slew round and following this my engine start to make noise. I immediatly stopped it.

After I open the crankcase, I figure that rods bearing were completly destroy specialy on rod 1 and 4 (if you start fom gearbox). Also the rods (Eagle) 1 and 4 were blue...

I went with new bearing but keep the crankshaft and rods.

The car started well, after running around in town I decided to g straight to the highway to be sure all is ok. Ca was really powerfull but after 2 miles of highway, engine start making noise again...

So now, I've not yet open the crankcase but pretty sur I will have to change some big parts.

What do you think?

Thank you.

Sounds to me like youv'e probably scored the crankshaft, due to oil starvation ! Is it big end noise ? Usually starts at around 2500rpm as a little tapping noise which gets louder. If so, engine out and crankshaft off to engineers for grinding, then fit oversize bearings !!!

if crankshaft not enought anymore, i will change or a new one, i don't like non standart bearing.

But do you think as my rods came bleu that i need to change them?

Also, it's making good noise when around 2500 and small noise at idle.
