Just wanted to say thanks for organising a good meet. Clym and I enjoyed wandering around looking at all the Zeds and meeting some more people off the forum.

Clym, that rings a bell, he didn't live in High Wycombe about 7 years back did he? Or Bournemouth about 5 years ago, he looked vaguely familiar

Buckinghamshire, yes - that's where his folks live. We also spend a lot of time in High Wycombe as we know people by the name of Dragon and Thorskegga. If you knew Clym when he went to Uni in Bournemouth then you probably know about his brother Zin.

 

Did you go to Bournemouth Uni? I'll see if he remembers you.

I'm not sure if I met him in The Roundabout, Hobgoblin or Attic in High Wycombe, or the Hothouse in Bournemouth. does he know Caroline Wils who was on a costume design course in Bournemouth, was engaged to Mike for a while who used to live with James and Tom, she used to go out with Drac when in High Wycombe? I have a vague feeling she may be the link

If that's Tom as in Tom D'Ville then Clym did live with him before and is renting a flat with him now in Camden.

 

I've mailed him to see if he knows you but after having the BH weekend and then not being in yesterday due to not catching the last train home on Monday (ahem) he's a wee bit busy.

 

I'll ring him later on and discuss you and Bournemouth in detail.

Tet and Ferret? Yes I do know them (i went to a party at theirs just before Christmas (lots of fireworks and mulled wine). How did you know I'd know them? I know them through an entirely different set of friends in London (Matt who used to go out with Ruth but now goes out with Happygoff Rose, Hannah and Dobian from Oxford). Tet and Ferret live in West London (Harrow or somewhere), are they connected with Wycombe or Bournemouth?

I think we're going to have to both post lists of all our friends and see how many we have in common (only joking guys, don't panic LOL)

Yeah, met Robin at Tet and Ferrets, don't think I know Dragon and Skegga. If Clym knows Tom then he'll also know Caroline so that's how I must have met him. If he shared a house with Tom in Bournemouth then it was probably the one with James & Mike in which case I will have seen Clym there at numerous parties. I have a feeling that Clym went to my flat in Northcote Road near the hothouse at some point as well, he may know Zebedee too. I last bumped into Tom randomly at Slimelight in London just before Christmas.

Clym's hard to forget, really - 6' odd tall, built like a racing snake and invariably creating interesting things from chainmail.

Didn't know your bf was called Clym and his hair was shorter when I knew him, it only started to click when I read your posts after the event. I didn't get to the meet until 2:30 and left fairly early (nagging friend who was geting bored sitting in the car playing snake, wish I'd just put her on a train from Weston LOL) so I didn't talk to many people there. Wish I'd gone on my own as I would have got there on time and been much more sociable.
