Tell me tomorrow at JAE how it works :confused:

:shock:

Easy maths, look at the numbers with that symbol, there are loads, there are not the many numbers left in 100 when you do that sum. Just put that symbol next to the numbers your left with and people think wow its spooky! old fairground trick been used to death to con money off people.

|**** MET THat's freeky as hell!

I thought it was some trick to do with the mouse cursor...ie most people may tend to wave it over their choice of number.

BUT, there are only about 10 different shapes there. Just duplicated.

There are 9 possible numbers your ever left with doing that sum, all the numbers your left with are given the same symbol. Do it 10 times and watch the number 9, always the correct answer

spooky as hell at first but def an old fairgorund trick good though

Mouse.

Try it. ;)

no, there is only 9 possible answers based on the 9 times table, 9,18,27 etc. all 9 symbols are the same, tho they change them to another symbol when you play again! ;)

In maths... (too geeky?) :confused:

A 2-digit number can be represented by digits a and b.

So our initial number:

x = 10a + b

The sum of digits:

y = a + b

Our final number:

z = x - y

z = (10a + b) - (a + b)

z = 10a + b - a - b

z = 9a

Therefore the final number is independent of b, and only dependent on a multiple of 9, hence wot people said before.

Clever though. I was convinced it was magic for a while... :D
