As above - is it me or has it got crap recently?

I used to like Virgin Radio - Pete & Geoff in the mornings was entertaining, plus they played decent music. Now they have that complete twat Christian O'Connell - a cheap more arse-ish version of Johnny Vaughan :xxx:

And don't get me started on the fekking music

I mean Virgin was always a good bet for some decent rock music but they seem to have gone more mainstream of late. I have the radio on at work and today, for instance, they played that Fekking awful "Smile" by some tallentless bint called Lilly Allen 5 TIMES.... Just because it may be number 1 it doesn't mean it is worth playing. SHE CANNOT SING AND THE SONG IS ABSOLUTE FEKKING DRIVEL. I HATE IT!!!!!!

That shite should be left to Radio 1, Capital and (more recently) Heart FFS. Virgin always used to be about real music, now they seem intent on attracting a wider audience at the expense of their loyal followers.

Thank f~ck I have a DAB radio at work and could switch over to Planet Rock  Awesome!

It seems there are no longer any decent music stations on FM radio any more :(

Rant over

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

They seem to have a very small playlist. They do play other stuff too, but they repeat the playlist over and over. :headvswal

I agree about Christian O'Connell too. :xxx:

Richard, Nice rant,

Must agree mate, Virgin has went a wee bit downhill. I was a listener since Russ & Johnno, way back !

DAB is the way to go !

If you are into Rock, Country, Blues or whatever, its there.

Must admit tho, still tune into Radio 2 on a thursday night for this guy !
