Detailed the arches and underside on the Zed today...few piccies

Well the weather's been fantastic, so what better way to spend the day than under the car! LOL

Pics aren't that great quality. Anyway, I thoroughly cleaned out the arches and the wheels.

Dressed the arch liners. I'd previously painted up the non-plastic parts with satin black hammerite to make it all look new. I cleaned up the calipers, attacked them with autosol, redid all the lettering and painted up the non-contact surfaces on the disks.

Makes a lovely difference and makes the rims appear brighter. Allso go underneath and cleaned up the petrol tank and polished up the exhaust.

It looks great si, now all you need to do is never drive it again so it stays like that :)

Unfortunately my trolly jack is bust. I wrapped a bit of dead towel around the top of the jack before I did jack it up.

I had it on an axel stand, I'd just jacked it up and taken the wheel off.

I'll try and make the pics a bit bigger as you can't make out too much.

Thanks mate.

Took a side on shot today too. Not very clear. Not sure what's wrong with my camera at the moment, but it's not taking as crisp a picture as it used to.

looking at that picture mate you tried to focus on the door area , you have a lot of sun on it and behind the door are some horizontal lines on the garage, in fact that background is all lines, try focus lock on a easier area compose from there

youve done a good job there mate, looks spot on.

aint it a good feelin when you stand back and admire your days work, makes it all worth while.

Thanks mate.

A little tip Si,if you paint the sill seam where you normally jack from black. It gives the car a cleaner look along bottom edge.Body shop Guy told me that and it defo does.
