On average what MPG are you getting. I have searched the forum and found interesting info, but want to confirm.

I am interested in the economy of the Twin Turbo....

How far will £20 get you?

How much is a full tank?

How many miles do you get from a full tank?

Thanks

i dont wish to sound offhand BUT if you are concerned at this stage with how far £20 will get you then perrhaps a 300ZX is not the car for you. I personally have no idea what mine does to a gallon as I just fill it up and press the loud pedal into the carpet.

It costs me nearly £20 to get to my local shell garage to fill up. If you use a 300ZX TT to its potential then you are looking at around 10 MPG. cruising about 20 MPG. Just like Pete said matey. If your are worried about £20 then you should maybe re-think what car you are after.

HTH.

I agree, if you are concerned about fuel consumption, get a diesel. Secondly, have you looked into maintainance costs?

Sorry dude, but you cant put economy and Twin Turbo in the same sentence.. All I know is I fill her up £60 @ 99p per litre and i get about 200 miles of fun :D

There is no economy in a twin turbo. £60 to fill up and that's all I know. Petrol is the least of your worries, as Yampiedog says it's the mantainance costs that you wanna think about mate.

Get an NA mate - 35mpg, 170mph top speed, never breaks down, group 12 insurance, excellent residual value :D :D

Fook me - I've just woken up

Go back to sleep then. You are still dreamin.. you hardly do 70mph in yours let alone 170mph!!!

With my new electronic boost controller i can leave it off with the engine in safety boost and now i can get 255 miles to a full tank instead of 240 - cor!

When I said 170mph I meant 170kph and even that's waaaaaaay tooooooooooo fast for me. After all the National Speed limit is 70mph   Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Twin Turbo, 25mpg on motorway, 5mpg round town and on the country roads flat out LOL

150 miles on a tank :o

My Twin Turbo running 330rwbhp (aprox 400 crank) does 5 miles to the 1 pound coin on the motorway and 3-4 miles to the shiny 1 pound coin around town (I think that works out about 25 plus mpg on the motorway, 15 plus in town, but can't be arsed to check) which is pretty good compared to you lot haha

Ah sh*t I've just (almost) sold it Damn!

I think the SAFC really helps with the fuel economy.

What he said.

If economy is an issue don't buy ANY car that comes in 3 litre turbo format........or any performance car for that matter

On a serious note for answering your question, I have a fairly stock UK TT auto. A fill up (when the light comes on) costs £60 or so, from that I get around 230 miles before the light comes on again during normal mixed driving. On a long m-way run at 90-100 mph I usually see 280 miles from the same amount of fuel. But a couple of days blasting round country B roads returned little more than 150 miles on one occasion.

From previous calculations I probably average 20 mpg, perhaps 26 mph on a decent m-way run. That has dropped to 12 mpg with said B-road thrashing.

Then I didn't buy a 300zx with any thought for the fuel costs - I simply expected to have to feed it (very) often - and just sit back and enjoy the drive :x:

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

exactly the same as richard for me, i have a 1992 auto uk tt with zorst and intake.

I was mearly looking for a guide, thats all. Anyway, I got one.

I managed 22.5mpg on the way home last night (£15 for 75 miles)

Think thats quite good really!

Only cost £55 to fill up today also..not bad.
