Hey guys, i've not been on for a while as i'm in the middle of selling my house and buying a new one. I'm going to be around here a lot over the next few months because GUESS WHAT???? While on my way to work yesterday morning 11-7-06 on my new 05 Yamaha R1 some plonker ran a red light,, drove out in front of me , i cut inside him to avoid hitting him and he clipped me anyway!! he drove into the side of me and ran me into the curb of a bus lane where my bike flipped over firing me face first into the tarmac at 30 miles an hour.. :headvswal The scumbag drove off and left me lying in a BUS LANE all broken up!!! Luckily i had the best of gear on so after a day in A & E i'm home with a 1 inch gash to my upper lip, some scrapes and bruises and the small problem of NO LIGAMENTS left in my right KNEECAP !!!! Dublin city is such a wonderful place isn't it?????

Ouch mate - sorry to hear that.

Maybe someone will have seen the accident and taken his number. Even if not, at least you're not in too bad shape I hope.

Shite, glad to hear your well enough to go home. Hope the recovery time is short and your not in a lot of pain.

What a complete W******r. Any witnesses, hope the police are on the case tho i doubt it. The driver could have killed you.

This happen to a good friend of mine and he was only discovered just in time due to some eagle eyed person thinking he'd seen something strange sticking out of a ditch and decided to stop and check.

These idot W********r's need to be taken off the road for the safety of us all.

FFS some people just don't use their eyes in the first place, but not to stop after causing an accident, that's just unforgiveable.

Were there any witnesses/traffic cams ?

Hope you make a good recovery mate.
