Team,

Had my aircon re-gassed at Ztech when they did my tubs and gearbox.......

Anyway........

Was working perfectly before and after but has since developed a leak and lost all the refrigerant. My ass is roasting in the car now

My 1995 workshop manual says it is R134a refrigerant but my car is a 1992 JDM Twin turbo with a little sticker near the VIN plate that says R12.

So..........

As usual the local guys have no experience of a Z and when I took the car for one to see the guy said he needed to know what was in it and whether the system had fittings for R12 or R134a then it all went a bit blah blah blah to my ears as he said how difficult it would be and "not much room and where is the high pressure bit". As he scratched his head my confidence levels plummeted.

So what do I need to do find the leak and it get it re-gassed locally.

I need enough info and questions to ask of the 'specialist' to see whether I trust them to do the job.

Thanks in advance guys

Chris

Yeah bud thats what I want them to do but they all ask the whats in it question first and will not come out and cast an expert eye over it often saying never worked on one mate etc.......Need the questions to be able to weed out the yellow pages trawl.
