cam belt

anyone know if you can tell if a cam belt's been changed.i only have garages word that previous owner had it done.

    There is no way of knowing this as you cant see the belt unless you take the cover off,If you have just bought your Z I would have it changed for the sake of doing it,because if it snaps you will be pissed off.Should cost around £250 all in.

    Responsible garages stick a label on the cam belt cover thing, if there is no service book available.

    My cambelt was done about two months b4 I bought the car and was done by Nelson - they have put a thin metal plate next to the VIN plate saying when it was done.. nice one!!!
