Just received an e-mail from the place that's doing my alloys.

They have polished them to mirror finish and have had them sprayed with a new clear protector, once this has hardened (about five days) then I can pick them up and have them on Eliza ready for JAE

Before....

And after (but not with coating on)...

So, what do you think?

they look spot on mate,

did you know that some yank zeds came with chrome alloys!!

Some jap ones came with the chromed alloys. Mine certainly did. (and not ONE mark on them!!). They look great against gunmetal grey.

Don't think any JDM specs came with chromed/polished alloy. Pretty sure it was just US market that had them as an option. I could be wrong though.

Mine is a jap import and the wheels were on already. I suppose the previous owner might have had them ordered specially. Dunno though!

Well guys i don't know if any JDM ones had them for sure either, but, afaik, the attached pic is a Nissan publicity pic for the 99 spec, that WASN'T available in the US and clearly shows chrome alloys. So make of it what you will :D

I notice that in your rides section, in your pics you have black centre caps with a silver Z on them. And that is the same for the pic I posted above. Well the ones I've just got are fully chromed

Great polishing job there Dave. Not a fan of the polished OEM look as I think I've already said before but your ride is still going to look very, very good when it's all done and dusted :)

Oooooooooooothat'll be nice to see

Pics will be forthcoming later in the week, as Eliza is filthy at the moment :D

How can it be filthy? We've not had rain for weeks!!

....or are you like me....a few bugs on the windscreen and a bit of brakedust and it's deemed filthy?

I've not washed her for two weeks, and she's covered in dust. There were a couple of dewy nights last week, so that made it worse :D

She's getting a good seeing to on Thursday night ready for the weekend.
