...but still on standard injectors?

I know there won't be many - but if there is someone can you post your Profec settings as every time I get mine spot on, the next time I drive the car it keeps hitting the warning limit I have set at 13 psi.

Have put it down to cooler air / under bonnet temps but in theory I though a boost controller should be unaffected by temperature?

Featured Replies

I've set my warning to 15.5psi on T-25's

Set - 32%

Gain - 28%

Set Gain - 115

Warning - 155

Warning - L.20%

Thanks, but the larger tubs behave a bit differently to the T-25 (or the 360 BB version of them). I dare not risk anything over 13 psi without better fueling so need some T-28 specific settings.

Got it all perfect last night - driven today now its hitting the cut again

Anyone with a Profec B II find any differences in different ambinet temps??

The "Gain" figure just alters how fast the boost comes in and I presume (I've got Blitz gear) that the "Set" figure is to adjust the maximum boost you get.

You just need to turn that down a bit.

The other settings will be for the limiter and how much cut the limiter applies when it's reached.

Most boost controllers don't compensate for air temperature or air pressure/altitude so you need to tweek them all the time, especially in hot weather.

When we drove across to the Nurburgring I had to adjust my controller all the way. The settings were way off the ones I needed back home to reach a bar of boost and I had to keep turning it down to avoid seriously over boosting.

As I drove back I gradually noticed the settings getting closer to my original ones until I got home and the boost settings were exactly what I left with.

Ok - just frustrating to get it just right then sit in the queue at Santa pod (enigine running or not) with all the heat built up and then try to guess the right adjustment so not to kangaroo off the warning cut-off or run at 10 psi all the way down
