its working intermittently, any ideas, pain in the arse seeing as the car feels llikes its goon 60 when you're doong ninety down the m-way, please dont say something awful llike renault hydraulic system, let it be a cable or a dodgy elec connex......

any ideas guys ?

Jap? Speed converter on it?

If so its playing up and messing up your speed sensitive power steering.

 

If not sounds like you speed sensor is dieing.

yep, Jap with converted clocks, also the front left dipped beam light goes off at the same time, hopefully these are on the same circuit and there's a dodgy earth around somewhere - will be checking - after I've made the mostof this great roofless wether
