My aircon was removed by a previous owner, and I want to refit aircon to the car - it's just too damn hot at the moment.

I have a box of bits I got from someone after they removed their aircon, and I want to fit it all to my zed.

Has anyone attempted this before? Has anyone got a list or diagram of the bits needed?

What should I look out for?

What order should I fit everything?

Here's a nice old thread to dig up, But im considering doing the same thing. For the 2 bhp ill loose i think the summer advantages are worth it. All i have is the compressor though, what will i need and where does it go.

You need to discover exactly what has been removed ofcourse. Most likely the Compressor and bracket , condensor, Aircon radiator and pipework that connects it all together and that goes to the bulkhead.

If the pipework that goes to the bulkhead is missing, forget it. You won't refit that without taking engine out. I had enough trouble replacing it with the engine out over Christmas!!!

Is that the piping that you can see running over the top of the engine? Thats a poor do if it is. I know everything has been removed. Shocking news.

Yes it is. The one with the sight glass in it (for checking concentration of refrigerant)

bear in mind this was 2 and a half years ago the fella asked this? I doubt he'll want to be refitting aircon at the moment ;)

I cant imagine it being an easy job though! Good luck to you if you do do it!
